The Science
SO MUCH TO LEARN…
Unquestionably there’s a lot to learn. At any rate, we’ll populate our site with more information as times goes on. Suffice to say that the cannabis plant comes in many varieties (cultivars).
Nature’s Remedies
Trichomes
The flowers are rich with specialized metabolites that can be seen as small crystals called trichomes. By and large these look like tiny stalks with globes on the end (similar to our logo). At any rate, depending on the cultivar and their unique genetics, these potent flowers can contain a rich array of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavanoids.
Hemp
“Some cultivars contain less than 0.3% of THC and these are generally known as hemp. Hemp contains more significant levels of CBDs or CBGs which help in many ways, however it doesn’t get you high in the process.”
Fred Ruckel, Founder & Cannabis Horticulturalist
More to come…
There needs to be more research
Certainly, as cannabis of all varieties is now more widely accepted, more information and research about the benefits of these magic flowers will be published.
It is worthy of note: the FDA is aware of the potential of cannabis in a medical capacity, as well as the need to research any possible adverse effects.
In it’s wisdom, the FDA has given the green-light to Epidiolex (cannabidiol), as well as three synthetic cannabis-related drug products: Marinol (dronabinol), Syndros (dronabinol), and Cesamet (nabilone). All of these require a prescription from your healthcare provider.

Homeostatis – the self-regulating way our bodies stay in check.
What Is Homeostasis?
Homeostasis – the process where living things are able to self-regulate in order to survive different conditions. i.e. when the temperature
Why is there a distinction between Federally Compliant Hemp and Adult-Use Cannabis?
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) Federal Classification
THC is a psychotomimetic compound. By and large it is a psychoactive substance. It can cause changes
What are the differences between CBD, CBG and THC?
Basic Cannabinoid Chemistry
Essentially: CBD (cannabidiol),CBG (cannabigerol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) are all phyto-cannabinoids.
That is to say they are cannabinoids produced in the cannabis
How do Cannabinoids help regulate bodily functions?
ECS – the endocannabinoid system
Here’s a little known fact: the human body produces naturally occurring cannabinoids. These are part of the ECS
THE CATSKILLS
A Perfect Growing Environment
We ship directly from our farm location in the Catskill Mountains, NY. Our Cannabis sativa L. plants are naturally sun-grown. We use fresh spring mountain water, these contain many natural nutrients that run down from the mountain. We never use any pesticides, herbicides or any other nasty chemicals. The environment is rich with unique flora and fauna. We are located in a remote area, that isn’t subjected to pollutants, car exhaust fumes or factory emissions. Our environment lies in the NY water-shed and is vigorously protected by the DEP and DEC.
